Live @ The Gallery Stage
The Legends of CCM. That was the title of a summer tour put on by Warm & Filled Management. To say the least, the tour itself was legendary. The tour roster consisted of Randy Stonehill, Sweet Comfort Band, The 77s, and our friends: Daniel Amos. Although most of the festival stops only gave the bands 15-20 minutes apiece, Cornerstone gave them 50-60 minutes apiece (thanks Cornerstone!).
Randy was his entertaining and humorous self like always, and he even had the DA boys (sans Terry) as his backup band. Sweet Comfort Band made you think their last show was 18 months ago instead of 18 years ago! They were in fine form. And The 77s put on a show which I felt was one of their best in years. Though of course I'm obligated to say the best show was DA...
To be fair, it wasn't quite DA. Due to his recent move to Nashville, Tim was unable to tour with the band. Filling his shoes was Luis Garcia of Plankeye. Granted Tim has big shoes to fill (both literally and figuratively), Luis still did a superb job playing that bass guitar. Also there to fill out the sound was Phil Madeira to perform his magic with the B3 and accordion.
The audience was greeted with a cd playing the title cut to Mr. Buechner's Dream, then our boys walked out (in their suits and ties might I add) and started off the show with Walls of Doubt. The rest is a blur. So here are some pictures for you to enjoy. Perhaps you can pretend that you were there too (and perhaps you were - and these pictures can help you relive the show)!
