The Legends of CCM Tour Cancelled

"The promoter, Mike Scanland and JAM Productions, who committed to this show
months ago, decided, unilaterally, to cancel the show late last week with no
advance notice to any of the artists (77's, DA, SCB and Stonehill). Scanland
has primarily cited his desire not to risk his company's money on the shows.
He has also cited the 9/11 attack as a reason for what he expects to be poor
concert attendance. While the attacks happened on 9/11, he cancelled the
show on 11/1. Doesn't seem quite right. Obviously, the 77's and DA are
deeply disturbed that the shows have been cancelled as they made plans for
the shows, passed on the possibility of other performances for the weekend
scheduled, cut the 77's and Lost Dogs tours short to make these engagements
and otherwise relied on the representations of JAM Productions. It is
unfortunate to say the least. We found out yesterday, in fact, that Scanland
never even booked the flight arrangements for the bands! While they demanded
the flight schedules for the band members almost 2 months ago, they failed
to even secure air travel for the bands! We have also heard reports of lack
of promotion from fans in Minnesota and the Grand Rapids area. It seems that
Scanland and JAM Productions knew they were going to cancel the shows well
in advance of notifying Street Level Artist Agency or the artists
themselves. Again, we are deeply disturbed at the manner in which JAM
Productions has mishandled this entire endeavor. I encourage every
dissappointed fan to directly contact JAM Productions -- the numbers are
listed on the DA and 77's websites -- and to speak directly with Mike
Scanland."
